I am proud to have been endorsed by the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5. The FOP recognizes my commitment to maintaining law and order in the city, as well as my long-time involvement in Town Watch and Victims’ Rights organizations. If I am fortunate enough to be elected to City Council, I will fight for greater resources for our police officers, firefighters and all first responders.
Our police officers are in need of newer, more reliable vehicles. The same holds true for the firefighters. Many fire trucks are woefully outdated and dangerous to operate. It’s shameful to not provide those who protect our lives with the safest, newest line-of-service fleets and equipment available to us. I also support the expansion of citywide Police Engagement Programs, which help foster greater understanding and trust between police and civilians. A commitment to improving public safety will be a cornerstone of my City Council Office.
